Competition Judges
If you are interested in being a competition judge at the PEI Science Fair, contact the Chief Judge.
All participants expect to have their projects examined by 3 different judges, most of whom are research scientists, engineers and science students.
Competition Judging Details:
- Competition judging occurs from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm.
- Upon arrival, check in with the Chief Judge in the judging room.
- Judging is done using a method consistent with the Canada-Wide Science Fair.

Specialty Prize Judges
In addition to competition judges, many participants can expect to see specialty prize judges visiting select projects throughout the day. Our specialty prize sponsors are local businesses, government, and community groups - their judges will be looking for projects that they wish to reward with prize money.
Specialty Prize Judging Details:
- Judges are appointed by specialty prize sponsors.
- Specialty prize judging runs from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
- Judges are asked to arrive no later than 10:00 am to allow sufficient time to award prizes.
- Upon arrival, check in at the Specialty Prize Desk, located in the Trade Centre.
- All materials will be provided, including judging ribbons, forms, and prize certificates.
- Completed judging forms should be returned to the Specialty Prize Desk.
- Specialty prize judges will present prize certificates directly to the selected participant(s).
