Due to the ongoing strike at UPEI, the PEI Science Fair will now be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 (storm date is Thursday, April 13) at the Eastlink Centre (formerly the Civic Centre) at 46 Kensington Road, Charlottetown.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 5 pm!
Registration Form Permission FormDuring the morning, only students, chaperones, and judges will be allowed into the Exhibit Hall (gym). All participants, grades 4-12, will spend the full day at the Science Fair. The day will proceed as follows...
Set-up Time: 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Judging: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Lunch: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (pizza and water is provided)
Judging: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Public Viewing: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Awards Ceremony: 4:00 pm
From 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Science Fair students will participate in a variety of science activities, including hands-on demonstrations, science puzzles and much more.
All students should expect to have their projects examined by 3 different judges, most of whom are research scientists, engineers and science students. In addition to the competition judges, there will be specialty prize judges visiting select projects throughout the day. There are many special prizes donated from local businesses, government, and community groups, and these judges will be looking for projects that they wish to reward with prize money.
There will also be the Science Fair Poster Design Competition. Everyone is invited to participate! Are you ready to be the best designer in PEI?
